Status Of Functional Knitted Fabric Development

(1) The moisture-wicking function of functional sportswear is one of the most important functions of knitted functional sportswear. Especially in sports and outdoor sports, the heat-conducting and sweat-wicking function of sportswear and leisure knitted clothing is the primary condition for customers to choose. The structure of this fabric is divided into three layers. The first layer plays an isolating role. Although the selected material has a good moisture-absorbing effect, the material consumption is relatively small, so the upper body feels very comfortable. The last layer is mainly used for corrosion resistance and wind and rain protection. The selected material has excellent breathability. At the same time, the multifunctional sports knitted fabric with heat conduction and sweat-wicking also has many advantages such as quick drying, wrinkle resistance, UV resistance, and high strength. At present, there are many kinds of new warm sports fabrics with excellent performance on the market. Among them, the most outstanding one is the one developed by Toyo Spinning Co., Ltd. It uses a special composite silk fabric with a three-layer structure. 6D polyester filament is used in the center position, 0.7D monofilament polyester staple fiber is used in the middle, and special-shaped cross-section polyester filament is used as the outer layer of the fabric structure. During outdoor exercise, once the body sweats, the capillaries between the fibers can quickly transfer and release sweat, dissipate heat, stop sweating in the shortest possible time, and eventually make the air layer between the fibers enter a static state, thereby achieving a corresponding warming effect and avoiding the rapid drop in body temperature that may cause health effects.

(2) In terms of knitted functional underwear, knitted fabrics not only have good extensibility, but are also breathable and soft, and are widely used in underwear technology. At present, the most prominent features of knitted underwear on the market are antibacterial and warming functions. In recent years, there are two major development trends in antibacterial knitted underwear, namely the use of chitin materials and the application of nanotechnology. Among them, chitin antibacterial, as the latest antibacterial functional concept, not only has a skin-friendly effect, but also has no side effects, and has more significant advantages than ordinary antibacterial substances. At present, most antibacterial substances contain certain antibiotics and heavy metal ions to a greater or lesser extent, and will cause certain side effects. In short, in the realization of the concept of green clothing, the application value of chitin antibacterial is worthy of recognition. The application of nanotechnology in antibacterial knitted underwear is to refine antibacterial particles to the nanometer level through modern technology, thereby effectively improving the function of antibacterial substances and strengthening the antibacterial function of knitted underwear.

 

(3) Luminous warp knitted fabrics At present, the development of functional knitted fabrics mainly focuses on rare earth luminous fibers in terms of luminous fabrics. They are modified fibers of modern functional polyester fibers and have many similarities with the performance of polyester. In the spinning process, luminous raw materials such as rare earth aluminates can be directly introduced into the fibers. The biggest advantage of luminous warp knitted fabrics is that they will not have any impact on the environment during production and use. In the development of warp knitted reusable fabrics, the novelty of the product is the main condition for improving market competitiveness, and its cost-effectiveness should be fully considered. In order to reduce production costs, the amount of luminous silk can be reduced in production, and some common cotton fibers and polyester can be appropriately added. In terms of structural design, it is necessary to ensure the richness of the warp knitting pattern of the pressed yarn and to ensure that the pressed yarn on the back of the fabric is not covered by other yarns, so as to obtain a better light transmission effect.

 

(4) Functional knitted body shaping clothing: With the application of spandex knitted fabrics, its body shaping function has also been gradually developed. By embedding spandex knitted fabrics, knitted clothing with body shaping can be formed, and it can also play the role of lifting the hips and tightening the abdomen. It occupies a large sales proportion in the current clothing market. At the same time, spandex has the function of preventing blood clots, which also makes spandex-containing knitted socks popular. It is precisely by adjusting the input amount of spandex that the elastic compression force of the knitted socks is gradually increased from the top to the bottom, thereby further improving limb blood flow and achieving the functional effect of preventing blood clots.
